From the winter of 2015, a cold little corner of life. "Montana" became a meditation on greed for me. It looks at the dualities of being both rich and poor--each verse is a long, emotive journey through destitution, while each hook offers this disillusioned view of success and wealth. It became a subtle reminder for me to immerse myself in the journey of life and to find the beauty in the details rather than hinging my peace of mind on something I didn't have.
